Sometimes you just need to be the parent

I once had a mum at the school gate telling me how her son was spending way too much time on his phone gaming and she didn’t know what to do about it.

“Take the phone away?” I suggested.

“Oh yeah. I could.” She replied.

We restrict and monitor our children in so many areas of their lives because certain things just aren’t good for them. But for some reason we seem to be unable to do it (don’t want to??) with technology.
